For 2025 LCC we’ll be going on a journey through the book of Acts which is the history book of the church in the New Testament. Dr. Luke completes a two-volume set here (with his earlier work being the Gospel of Luke) that includes sermons, speeches, and is loaded with doctrine. It appears that Dr. Luke had a 3-fold strategy with this work: 1 to emphasize the critical importance of salvation, 2 to remind people that they needed to confess Jesus as both Lord & Savior, and 3 to encourage them (and us) to embrace the power & activity of God’s Holy Spirit.
